Chqbook Review

Daily purchases now made easy with SBI Card PRIME. Simply wave your card at a secure reader to transact. In the quest for finding your destination for unparalleled convenience and ease of living the lifestyle of your dreams, SBI Card Prime is the best thing that you may come across. By far, it is one of those credit cards that is filled to the brim with exciting features and exquisite benefits.

  PROS

  • As has been stated, SBI Card Prime is indeed a prime example of a credit card that provides for immense comfort and luxury when it comes to procuring goods and services with ease
  • It has a welcome gift e-voucher worth ₹3,000 from any of the following brands, viz., Yatra, Hush Puppies/Bata, Marks and Spencers, Pantaloons or Shoppers Stop
  • Other such lifestyle deals include an e-voucher by Pantaloons or Yatra worth 7,000 rupees for spends of ₹5 lakhs
  • Also, for quarterly spends of ₹50,000, Pizza Hut offers an e-voucher that is worth a thousand rupees
  • All these incentivizing benefits, along with the relatively affordable joining and annual fees, make this a card that is advantageous to own

  CONS

  • Although the joining fee and the admission fee are more or less affordable, those who have a low paying job would prefer taking a credit card that costs less to maintain and renew
  • Also, SBI Card Prime is for the most part, in the strict classification schema, a traditional lifestyle credit card that rewards the cardowner for taking certain lifestyle choices; though it has very minor travel features which we shall mention later on. It can be summarized that since it is for the most part a lifestyle card, it is preferable for people with more purchasing power to possess this card, which makes it out of reach for most individuals
  • Another disadvantage that might be mentioned is that it has different slabs for different categories of applicants. For example, salaried individuals need to be at least 21 years old while self-employed individuals need to be at least 25 years old. On the other hand, pensioners have to be at the very least be 40 years old to apply for the credit card. This non-uniformity in application criteria further complicates the matter when it comes to choosing this card

Joining Perks

    Eligibility

    • The only common thing among all the three different eligibility categories is that the maximum age at which a person could apply for the SBI Card Prime is set at 70 years
    • The minimum age at which an applicant can apply for the credit card varies, and it depends upon the financial source of the applicant. That is, if a person receives a salary, they need to be 21 years old to apply
    • If the person is self-employed, they need to be 25 years old
    • If a person is a pensioner, they need to be 40 years old in order to apply
    • The applicants must be citizens of India and must produce the requisite documents while submitting the application

    Documents Required

    • A proof of identity and a proof of residence. Generally speaking, many identification documents in India like Aadhar, the PAN Card or a Voter ID Card are sufficient to establish both

    • For the applicants who are self-employed, they need to produce:

    • Bank statements for the previous six months
    • A statement of profit and loss or the final balance sheet from the business that the applicant owns
    • For pensioners who wish to apply for the SBI Card Prime, they have to produce:

Worst customer care experience. I got this card 2 years back and the facilities they are providing with this card are not good. Thinking of closing this card and look for the better one.

Using sbi credit card from last years. Am satisfied with the credit limit , as there is no transaction charge . The rate of interest is common one. I am using this card for both general and fuel purpose. Annual charges are there but it get waives off after using more than ? 3,00,000 in a year.

I hold a credit card with SBI bank from last 4 years, the credit card services are pretty good when compared to other credit cards. There was no annual fee charged at the time of getting this credit card. Net banking is easy to make payments.

I hold a credit card with SBI Card Prime credit card . The limit offered is good. The rate of interest and charges are very good but still the charges are little high some time compared to other credit service providers in the market. Overall a good card.

    Average card

To me this card turned out to be average. All the offers need an initial big investment. Services are also not really helpful.

I was convinced to take the SBI prime Credit Card. I wasn't interested. Even though the Credit limit was high, there was no significant use for this card in my day to day life. There is any other issue with the card . For me it is of no use and benefits.
